XKG is a multidisciplinary consultancy providing best-of-breed specialist services across nine key pillars: Program Delivery, Commercial, ISREW, Engineering, Spatial Computing, Information Systems, Logistics, Cyber & Security, and Learning Systems.

XKG is comprised of a growing team of high performing and multi-disciplined staff: Our core executive leadership, full-time people, supporting subcontractors, associates, and a lean operations/administration function.

Since 2014, XKG has supported customer outcomes ranging from the supply of individual resources to the establishment of integrated teams within highly complex multi- billion-dollar programs within Defence, Government, and industry.

XKG operates within Australia with representation in Melbourne, Canberra, Brisbane, Perth, and Sydney. We are also proud to support clients across the world including New Zealand, Japan, Israel, South Korea, Poland, Great Britain, the United States of America, and the United Arab Emirates.

Dominik Kul

Managing Director

Dom is a highly motivated leader with a proven history of delivery in complex and demanding project environments. He is a result-driven professional, who recognises and embraces the pressure and accountability required to consistently deliver high-quality work. Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills allow him to develop and maintain strong professional relationships.

Dom’s proven delivery across commercial, logistics, acquisition, and technology programs has enhanced his reputation as a transformational leader within the complex Defence and Public Security environments. Following a successful career as an Army Officer specialising in logistics systems, Dominik founded a vibrant business in XKG, now in its 10th year of operation.

Mike Godfrey

Operations Director

Mike has over a decade of consulting experience within private industry and the public sector and has broad knowledge spanning multiple fields including IT, Commercial, Logistics, and Project Delivery. He has specialised in Defence and Security since 2013, leading programs across CASG, CIOG, JLC and Victoria Police.

Mike’s attention to detail, ability to learn quickly, and passion for the cutting-edge makes him responsive to complex and changing requirements whilst his depth of knowledge offers thought leadership of best-practice and industry trends.

 
 

Adam Hall

Executive Director

Adam has over 25 years’ extensive high technology experience developing strategy, leading teams and managing complex stakeholders, programmes, commercial contracts and multi-million dollar bid to capture opportunities in a variety of government, military and private sector organisations.  He has a proven track record of program recovery, sales strategy and annual planning capabilities enhancing organisation performance and top line revenue growth.

Mark Johnston

Director - Program Delivery & Commercial

Mark has over 25 years experience in operational and management consulting across government and commercial sectors including Defence and national security, health, telecommunications, and utilities. Mark is an experienced board director having lead the board of a national charity and veterans cultural institution for seven years as the founding Chairman and CEO (Director) amongst his other senior governance roles.

Utilising his experience in program and project manager, Mark leads XKG’s Program Delivery practices, leveraging his extensive Defence networks and understanding to deliver key outcomes for clients.

Andrew Wood

Director - Strategy & ISREW

Andrew brings over 25 years experience in developing and running high performing teams to deliver complex projects in a variety of government, military and private organisations. He has intimate understanding of C4ISREW programs, which he developed over 15 years leading the project teams to deliver leading edge Special Forces C4IREW capabilities.

Andrew has extensive experience in the integration of systems onto ground and airborne platforms, both military and civilian registered. This has included consideration of vehicle engineering requirements as well as both military and civilian airworthiness regulations. He has an ongoing professional interest in surveillance data management and remote power solutions for surveillance systems.

Trent Yates

Director - Engineering & Spatial Computing

Trent has extensive leadership, management and consulting experience both within commercial and government/defence areas. As a strategic thinker and long term planner with a background in electronics engineering, operations and project management Trent has the ability to translate operational business goals, needs and other often disparate information into feasible outcomes and subsequently deliver on those outcomes. 

Following a successful career in the Navy as a Submarine Officer, Trent has leveraged his technical skills and ability to analyse / understand complex systems to delivery on multiple communications and software development programs, including what he is most passionate about, spatial computing solutions. Trent believes that Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality and Mixed Reality will have a profound effect on our lives in the future when integrated with Artificial Intelligence.

 
 

Darren MacKenzie

Director - Capability Integration, Logistics & Information Systems

Darren brings extensive experience in capability planning, development, and delivery across multiple domains. Specialised in logistics, training and security, he is intimately familiar with the Defence information technology environment. With a systems planning mindset, Darren weaves all the necessary threads together to deliver highly effective and sustainable enterprise solutions. Darren has advanced knowledge and experience in creating blended learning and training solutions for large enterprises, including Defence, leading multiple deliveries for XKG.

 
 

Tamara Brooks

Director - Cyber & Security

Tamara has over 12 years’ experience in the delivery of Information Security Compliance and Assurance within the Defence information environment. She works closely with clients and project staff to facilitate project outcomes aligned with the relevant security policies. Tamara has extensive technical and Business Management experience within the areas of Intelligence, Cyber and National Security with a strong collaborative ethos to enable end to end delivery. This experience along with excellent interpersonal skills makes Tamara an asset to any team.

 
 

Cheryl MacKenzie

Director - Learning Systems

A career educator, Cheryl has significant experience conceptualising innovative approaches to business needs, exploring emerging, beyond the horizon learning innovations as well as new ways to exploit existing capabilities. Cheryl is extremely passionate about capturing the student’s attention in a course and has always paid close attention to feedback from her delivered products. She has developed content to bring greater student experience and cognitive realism to teaching units through the use of branching scenarios underpinned by sound instructional design and subject matter engagement to ensure authenticity.

Associate Director - Operations

Nell is a business support professional with 5 years’ experience in business & operations management. Her operations experience with defence industry partner XKG, has perfectly positioned her to deliver high quality client engagement services. Working to strict and often competing deadlines Nell is adaptable and able to work autonomously. She is goal oriented and ensures full understanding of requirements is disseminated and actioned. Her current role with XKG has exposed her to a variety of stakeholders that has greatly widened her professional scope and capabilities

 
 

William Raymond

Associate Director - Communications Engineering

William is a Systems Engineer and Project Manager with over twenty years of Defence technical trade, engineering and project management experience in the integration and delivery of Maritime Communication, Combat, Navigation and supporting Electrical Systems. He has a strong focus on the benefits to business of open communication and workforce collaboration. William’s experience and ingenuity has allowed him to deliver large projects in diverse, challenging environments whilst maintaining a high standard in both his process and the outcome. William’s initiative and dedication are fundamental to the success and fortitude of XKG’s Communications Engineering space.

 
 

Ben Steven

Associate Director

Benjamin is a Procurement and Contract Management Professional with extensive Defence specific experience in the creation of procurement documentation for simple and complex procurement activities., Ben’s skills are focused upon being able to communicate at a technical level with internal and external staff, project management and control. Within Defence, he has held a number of roles that have required him

to deliver innovation in procurement, supply chain management and stakeholder engagement.

 
 

Jean Davison

Associate Director - ILS

Jean is an accomplished Assistant, Administrator, Co-ordinator and Project Manager with a proven track record of delivering above expectations across defence industry. Jean started her career as an Army Soldier and has gone on to work across various Defence Programs for Industry Primes. Her attention to detail, ability to work autonomously or in a team, and her strong communications skills have all proved invaluable in organising team efforts and enhancing operational effectiveness.

 
 

Josh Wilder

Associate Director - ILS

Josh is an ADF experienced trainer who brings over a decade of experience serving within the Air Dispatch environment including as a trainer and operator. He is a passionate leader who brings cultural understanding of the air dispatch training continuum including opportunities to deliver blended learning outcomes for trainees. His deep technical understanding is an asset to XKG’s training efforts and development of learning systems.

 
 

Daniel Bahnean

Associate Director ILS

Daniel is an experienced engineering professional with a background spanning applied engineering, communications and management. Daniel’s work has seen him involved in Defence engineering environments, but also seen him practice in a variety of external organisations, giving him a broad scope to frame problems through multiple lenses and the discernment to ascertain the most effective solution. With degrees in Commerce, Engineering and Management, Daniel is well placed to deliver high level input to all projects he is engaged with. From providing advice of the running of a project to working directly on the physical components of a system, Daniel has the unique ability to understand each stage of the process and how each influences the next.

 
 

Ashleigh Colbert

Associate Director ILS

Ashleigh is a highly motivated professional with 15 years’ experience across both ACT and Federal Government Departments and the Private sector. She has worked in various fields including Project Management, Events/Logistics, Human Resources Management, Workforce Management and client focused administration roles. Ashleigh’s experience in various Government and private sector positions, and her sensitive approach to internal and external stakeholders allows her to interact with others in a positive and productive manner. Her driven work ethic, ability to quickly adapt to changing work environments and joy of seeking out new challenges makes her a valuable team member.

Pete is a driven Supply-Chain Specialist with over 10 year’s experience within Defence, overseeing compliance, inventory management, customer care measures, and logistics control. Peter is a team-oriented collaborator and innovator, with a talent in boosting outputs by implementing production quality checks and protocols, and is a loyal and dependable team member.
