Defence Innovation Hub – Deployed Micro Grid (DMG)

XKG is the prime contractor, in partnership with Optimal Group and Defence, to develop a Deployed Micro Grid and power generation solution. The Innovation Hub activity will deliver a microturbine power generation technology enhanced by battery power and renewables, supported by a leading edge Energy Management System to provide reliable, scalable, efficient, and secure field power with a low total cost of ownership.


Wedgetail Systems Integration Engineering for Boeing Australia

XKG is providing systems integration engineering for Defence’s Boeing 737-700 aircraft platform and a variety of aircraft control and advanced radar systems, including airborne early warning systems. XKG is currently applying its system engineering expertise to the platform’s advanced open-system architecture with standards-based design for cost-effective integration and add-on flexibility.


Engineering Design Support to SEA1000 Electronic Support Measures Sub-System

XKG supported a major Defence prime, in developing and designing a leading edge maritime Electronic Warfare and Electronic Support Measures System. The prime has recognised XKG’s high-quality and expert engineering and ILS support in preparation of design documentation and proposal for the SEA1000 SEM combat sub-system.


Canberra Class Amphibious Assault Ship (LHD) Platform Strategic Analysis

The project developed a ‘system of systems’ view of ADF Amphibious Warfare capability, engaging within the Joint environment as well as Defence industry. The scope of the study included command and control, surveillance/reconnaissance, logistics, and rotary wing aviation capabilities.


Maritime Satellite Terminal Upgrade as part of JP 2008 program

XKG managed all systems engineering activities to support the upgrade of the MASTIS Terminal across three variants that was provided to Navy as an integrated system on 14 ships across 4 different classes. This task included activity ranging from requirements gathering, options analysis, interface definition, detailed system design and platform integration to ensure the ongoing capability of over the horizon seaborne communications.


Intelligence Surveillance Reconnaissance Electronic Warfare Capability Definition

XKG supported Capability Definition Documentation for Land Project 154 Phase 4, delivering Force Protection Electronic Countermeasure. The team utilised its experience in ILS and Fundamental Inputs to Capability factors.
